Dr. Nathaniel Burt PhD

Dr. Nathaniel Burt is a licensed psychologist in the State of Washington. He received his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University in 2011 and obtained his Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Gonzaga University in 2007. Dr. Burt completed a psychology internship at Denver Health Medical Center in Colorado and later completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Larned Stated Hospital in Kansas, where he worked extensively in the Sexual Predator Treatment Program. Dr. Burt has many years working in state and federal sectors and has experience working with veterans and the armed services. He has provided psychological services and supervision at Mission Creek Correctional Center for Women (MCCCW) and later as a Supervising Psychologist at the Washington Correction Center (WCC). Dr. Burt is currently working at Airway Heights Corrections Center (AHCC) in Washington State in the Sex Offender Treatment and Assessment Program (SOTAP) conducting neuropsychological assessments, providing supervision, assisting in curriculum development, and the training to professional staff. Dr. Burt has worked in the field of sex offender treatment for five years and has more than nine years of experience working with forensic populations. In collaboration with professionals across community and state law enforcement agencies and behavioral health multidisciplinary teams, Dr. Burt has dedicated his professional career to working with and assisting individuals suffering from various behavioral health illnesses, as well as individuals with high risk profiles with the goal of managing symptoms and reducing risk of re-offense.
