Mr. Rex Bacon is a board-certified music therapist who has been working in corrections since 2000. Mr. Bacon provided activity therapy in a Residential Treatment Unit for male offenders with psychiatric disorders from 2000 until 2011. In 2012, he transferred to a minimum-security institution for female offenders. He provides case management, leads wellness groups, and offers music therapy in individual and group settings for inmates with mental health disorders. He is also a co-facilitator for the Mosaic Program, a trauma recovery program that supports women who have experienced interpersonal violence. He is also certified in Crisis Intervention and a member of the Employee Services Team.
