Mr. Ric Bishop has more than 44 years of experience in jail operations and public safety. He began his career as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in 1982 and retired in 2021 from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office in Vancouver, Washington, with the rank of Chief Corrections Deputy. Mr. Bishop has served as an expert witness, trainer, and leader in risk identification and mitigation in local jail operations. He currently provides corrections technical assistance to more than 50 jails across Washington State through the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC).
