The Standards for Mental Health Services provides a framework for improved mental health care delivery and outcomes in adult facilities. They mirror the standards for health services but delve into requirements for adequate delivery of mental health services. This talk will cover general areas of care and treatment, clinical records, administration, personnel and legal issues. You will leave equipped to implement quality improvements that will lead to more efficient and effective delivery of services, better patient care, fewer adverse events, and reduced liability risk.
