Capt. William Teel has been with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) for 24 years.  He has administrative oversight of 245 team members from four shifts. Responsibilities include: :
• Fostering and promoting our department’s goals by demonstrating the department values;
• Oversee the operation of multiple shifts and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of workloads;
• Analyze information and recommend changes in working conditions, methods, or procedures;
• Maintain a cohesive staff and look for opportunities to coach, mentor and develop;
• Monitor budgetary expenditures primarily in the area of controlling and looking for innovative ways to minimize overtime expenses.

In addition, Capt. Teel oversees the South Tower Bureau within the Detention Services Division, which encompasses administrative segregation, hospital housing, medical infirmary, close custody, and restrictive housing inmate populations. For several years, Captain Teel has had oversight of the medical and mental health operations within CCDC and helped work towards accomplishing the NCCHC Mental Health Services Accreditation.
