Rebecca Vauter, Psy.D., ABPP, CCHP-MH Dr. Vauter is Armor Health's Chief Behavioral Health Officer. She is a licensed clinical psychologist who is board-certified in forensic psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology; and is a Certified Correctional Health Professional-Mental Health by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. She has devoted her career to the care of individuals with serious mental illnesses who are involved with the criminal justice system. Dr. Vauter joined Armor Health in September of 2020. Prior to that, she served for 6 years as the Chief Executive Officer at Central State Hospital in Virginia, which houses the state?s only maximum-security forensic unit. She also previously served as Clinical Director at Eastern State Hospital in Virginia; worked in the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services as the leader of the statewide forensic program; and held a variety of clinical positions serving correctional and inpatient populations in the Virginia forensic system. She is an experienced expert witness, researcher, and educator, and has taught at Virginia Commonwealth University, Eastern Virginia Medical School, and Virginia Union University.
