Summer Lagow is a California native who graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Master's Degree in clinical psychology. She joined the world of corrections in 2015 when she was hired as a clinical therapist at Louisville Metro Department of Corrections. Six months later, she was promoted to mental health director, overseeing both the adult and juvenile mental health programs. She also opened up her own private practice in 2017, Lagow Counseling and Consulting, where she specializes in trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder. She is a nationally certified therapist, meeting high national standards for education, training, and experience in mental health. Summer is passionate about reducing the stigma of mental illness and strives to advocate for each of her patients so they have the highest probability for success in the community.
