Danielle Thompson LMSW graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, KS with Bachelor's degrees in criminal justice and human services and a Master's degree in social work. Danielle has experience working with children and families in high conflict situations, children in acute psychiatric hospital settings, and with child and adult victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Danielle currently works for the Kansas Department of Corrections Office of Victim Services as the Batterer Intervention Program Coordinator. Danielle started the first facility-based Batterer Intervention Program (BIP) in the state of Kansas at Lansing Correctional Facility in 2015. Danielle coordinates the facility-based BIP groups as well as the parole-based BIP groups across the state for the Kansas Department of Corrections.
