Ernestine Mahar is a masters student at the Rollins public health school at Emory university. She is graduating in the summer of 2021 with a focus in epidemiology. She works as a research lab manager at the Yerkes national primate research center where she participates in HIV and Coronavirus research. She is presenting her thesis research on those with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in Georgia state prisons, their experience in the system, and their mental health outcomes.
