Dr. Ashley Espitia is a licensed psychologist in California and Washington specializing in clinical psychology with a health emphasis. She earned her doctoral degree from Alliant International University in San Diego and currently serves as Suicide Prevention Specialist for the Washington State Department of Corrections. In this role, Dr. Espitia develops and delivers education and training programs for staff and incarcerated individuals focused on suicide prevention. Her previous experience includes supervising psychology associates at McNeil Island’s Special Commitment Center and clinical work in state hospitals, correctional facilities, residential youth programs, and adult inpatient and outpatient settings. Her professional interests include suicide prevention, behavioral health education, and correctional mental health care.
