312 Using Pharmacists to Expand Access to MOUD in the BOP
Description

Treatment for incarcerated patients with opioid use disorder is critically important for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The presentation will discuss the chronological progression of medications for opioid use disorder in the BOP and the use of Collaborative Practice Agreements. Central to this discussion is the role pharmacists have played in expanding access to treatment and creating policy to acquire certification as Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP).
