Dwayla Marie Carty is a research intern at Rutgers RWJ Medical School Women's Health Institute, She collaborates with other interns and doctors on various topics pertaining to health and wellness. She was previously a member of the Empower program, a mentoring program for middle and high school students. She has also been involved in other community outreach projects with the Bonner program, Elijah's Promise, and Habitat for Humanity. She is currently a mentor for M.O.B (Minding Our Business) a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the personal and vocational development of urban youths through entrepreneurship, education, and coaching and mentoring.
