Ms. KaShava Coston is a licensed professional counselor who works at DYRS as a mental health specialist. She completed undergraduate studies at Xavier University of Louisiana in chemistry and obtained a master's degree in counseling psychology at Bowie State University. Ms. Coston provides support and encouragement to women and girls and finds pleasure in serving others, as she is a board member for the H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow, Inc non-profit agency. Ms. Coston’s drive to be a catalyst for social change in the community has prompted her to educate others on heart health in the African American community by spearheading Heart Health events in Washington, D.C.
