This poster explains a pilot of the use of extended-release buprenorphine (XR-BUP), a monthly, subcutaneous injection, approved for the treatment of moderate to severe opioid use disorder, at Sterling Correctional Facility in Colorado to determine whether the medication was safe and effective in the state prison system.
