This poster highlights the role religion can play in promoting accountability and moral responsibility in the context of a juvenile correctional facility. As the number of youths who identify with Islam in juvenile settings increases, the use of Islamic teachings and practices such as prayer, fasting, and charity (Zakat), among other concepts, can be explored within a mental health framework to make them an accessible and a viable learning tool.
