David Dawdy MA

David has worked in multiple fields of mental health treatment for nearly 25 years, including crisis unit, inpatient, substance abuse, and youth residential programs, and has been a part of the Michigan Dept of Corrections Mental Health Program since 2002. He currently is Director of Mental Health Services for the MDOC, which includes the mental health, substance abuse, and sex offender treatment services. David is working to further the MDOC's mission of offender success through improving the transition process for those offenders who have special treatment needs, reduce stigma associated with criminal-justice involved individuals, and continuously improve corrections treatment standards.
