LCDR Trey Draude graduated with his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015, and serves as an officer in the United States Public Health Service in the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) as an advanced practice pharmacist. He currently manages patients with opioid use disorder, HIV, hepatitis, and psychiatric indications through collaborative practice agreements at the largest of seven Federal Medical Centers in the BOP. He also serves as the institution’s program director for their recently certified opioid treatment program. LCDR Draude began treating patients with opioid use disorder in the correctional setting in 2018, and most recently led a medication-assisted treatment certification training on the national level for pharmacists across the BOP.
