This roundtable discusses the implementation and use of an eConsult platform in two Southern California jail systems to provide and coordinate specialty care for incarcerated individuals. Data showed that there was a 20% reduction in face-to-face visits with specialists, but a median specialist response time of 10.8 hours, providing specialty care at a much faster rate. Facilities saved money and time with this solution.
