Laura Yager is the Director of Correctional Health and Human Services with the Fairfax County, Virginia Sheriff's Office.  Laura Yager is a career leader in community-level behavioral health treatment and prevention. She has expertise in multi-systems change initiatives including diversion of people with behavioral health issues out of the criminal justice system and into treatment (which has been recognized nationally), primary and behavioral health care integration, as well as the development of two nationally recognized evidence-based substance use prevention programs.  Her current "obsession" is  jail-based Medication Assisted Treatment and reentry recovery services to reduce recidivism and overdoses and addressing complex COVID-19 issues at the jail and in the community.
