Dr. Doreen Salina is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. She is also a licensed clinical psychologist who has provided mental health and substance abuse services to a correctional population for more than 20 years. Her main area of research is in applied research of justice involved women and youth as well as developing and evaluating treatment programming through collaboration with community based agencies. Specifically, she conducts gender responsive and trauma informed research and evaluation, provide training to direct staff and collaborates with community providers to ensure continuity of care.
