Dr. Ed Berger attended the University of Cincinnati and the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry and interned in such diverse locations as Boston, Atlanta, Germany, and Israel. Upon graduation, Dr. Berger practiced in Halifax, Nova Scotia for several years before returning to the United States to become a private practitioner. Pursuing his interest in serving at-risk and vulnerable populations, Dr. Berger has been providing eye care to patients in correctional facilities, youth detention centers, and other institutional settings for the past 20 years. As President of OnSite Vision Plans, a nationwide provider of institutional eyecare, Dr. Berger enjoys applying his expertise and experience to designing on-site eye care programs that are customized to a facilities' needs.
