Mandy Altman is the Director of the National Hepatitis Corrections Network (NHCN) and manages the prison and jail health education programs for the Hepatitis Education Project (HEP) in Seattle, HEP is a nonprofit committed to providing support, education, advocacy, and direct services for people affected by hepatitis and to helping raise hepatitis awareness among patients, medical providers and the general public. An initiative of HEP, the NHCN is an international network of people working with hepatitis C in correctional settings through a public health approach to hepatitis prevention, testing, treatment, linkage to care, and harm reduction education prisons and jails. Prior to her current position, Ms. Altman worked in correctional health education and global health.
