Dr. Dahlstrom is a physician with the California Correctional Health Care Services Quality Management Program.  He earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago and completed an Internal Medicine residency at University of California, San Francisco. In his current role, he helps create, maintain, and enhance point-of-care health and custodial tools, performance monitoring reports, and publicly  available dashboards. Most recently, he worked to create the CDCR COVID-19 Tracker to automatically update and inform the public about the status of COVID-19 cases, testing, and deaths across 35 adult institutions within California. The tracker has been accessed more than 1.7 million times.
