Mr. John Miles is Executive Vice President and Project Manager for various projects across the CDC with Carter Consulting. He retired from the CDC in 2001 after 34 years of service as a Public Health Advisor, serving the last 7 years as a special advisor to the Office of the Director for intra-agency, state and local health department, community-based corrections and substance abuse programs. He has extensive experience in collaboration/partnership development, public health program assessment and outcome evaluations, and policy development/implementation. He assisted in the development of NCCHC’s congressional report on the Health Status of Soon to Be Released Inmates. He was appointed Editor of the Journal of Correctional Health Care in 2001 and continues in that role today.
