Dr. Robert Lawrence is the Chief Medical Officer for the State of Alaska Department of Corrections. He is experienced in finding economical ways to meet the standards of essential care for justice involved populations. He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2003. Following residency, he worked as a family physician in rural Alaska before moving to Anchorage in 2013 to serve in his current role. He has a master’s degree in education and has just completed a master’s degree in bioethics.
