Name
302 Life Threatening Effects of Synthetic Cannabinoid
Description

Patients with history of "spice" -- synthetic cannabinoid -- are at risk of brodifacoum (rodenticide) induced coagulopathy, which can cause life-threatening hemorrhages/bleeding and may need monitoring with PT/ INR. If there are signs of active bleeding or elevated INR, patients may need treatment with vitamin K1 for four to six months after initial exposure due to the long half-life of brodifacoum. This poster hopes to save lives by educating on the risks of and treatment for rodenticide-laced spice.
