Valerie I. Davis-Marcozzi, RN, MSN is the Registered Nurse II for the Bureau of Healthcare, Substance Abuse & Mental Health (BHSAMH) for the Delaware Department of Correction. Valerie has 14 years of experience in the medical field with a vast majority of those years spent in the long-term care secure and almost five years in corrections. She was the driving force for initiating a statewide electronic temperature monitoring system for medical areas in Delaware’s jails and prisons. This system monitors and documents all refrigerator, freezer, and ambient temperatures in which medications are stored in set intervals.
