Dr. Michele DiTomas has worked for the California Correctional Healthcare Services since 2007. She is the statewide Assistant Deputy Medical Executive over Geriatrics and Palliative Care which strives to provide high quality care to older adults and those with serious, life-limiting illness. As Hospice Medical Director, she works with the hospice team at the California Medical Facility to create an environment where patients can live their final days with dignity, respect and comfort if they are unable to achieve Compassionate Release. She earned her MD from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and is board-certified in both family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine.
