Dr. James Duncan, a practicing physician assistant for 19 years, is employed as a PA-lead for the Washington State Department of Corrections at Washington State Penitentiary, focusing on outpatient medicine and patient safety. He earned his Doctorate of Medical Science from Rocky Mountain in 2020 and was recognized for "Outstanding Applied Scholarly Project; Instituting a Near Miss Reporting System in a Major Correctional Facility." Prior to his work in corrections, he was an Army PA with several deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
