Dr. Emily Sorblom has been a licensed pharmacist for 25 years with extensive experience in correctional, hospital, retail, specialty, home health, and long-term care pharmacy consulting. She earned a bachelor's degree in pharmacy in 1996 and then her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in August 2021. Her current role is as a regional pharmacist for Wellpath in the Massachusetts Department of Correction, where she chairs the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Pharmacy Operations committee and supervises the Non-Formulary Team. In addition to providing pharmaceutical information and education to all staff, and performing drug consults and chart reviews, she is involved in formulary management, ensuring patients are offered clinically appropriate, cost-effective medications for provider and patient satisfaction at 16 state prisons and a forensic hospital, Bridgewater State Hospital.
