Sheriff Bob Goldsmith is the sheriff of Tippecanoe County. He began his career in law enforcement in 1997 as a jail deputy for Tippecanoe County. He became a merit deputy for the Clinton County Sheriff's Office in 1999 and then went back to Tippecanoe County as a merit deputy in 2002. He has worked as patrol, a detective, sergeant of detectives, and was lieutenant of detectives when he was elected sheriff in 2018. He has also served on the dive team and crisis negotiations teams.
