Dr. Sharif Nankoe is the chief medical director for department of corrections programs at Spectrum Health Systems, a private, nonprofit behavioral health organization in Massachusetts. He provides oversight, direction, and implementation of medical operations for the Massachusetts Department of Correction’s medications for opioid use disorder programs. Dr. Nankoe previously served as the medical director for the Vermont Department of Corrections’ Medication-Assisted Treatment Program, and worked in the Vermont Hub and Spoke system as the medical director of two opioid treatment programs and two office-based opioid treatment clinics. Dr. Nankoe is board certified in addiction medicine and family medicine.
