Mr. “Spencer” Sego is a clinical operations specialist with Centurion, LLC. In his current role, he is part of a team charged with ensuring Centurion facilities are properly prepared and maintain correctional health care accreditation.

Mr. Sego has worked in corrections since the age of 19 where he began his career as a correctional officer. During his time as an officer, he earned a nursing degree, allowing him to perform diverse duties and gain experience in a variety of roles in corrections.

Prior to joining the policy and accreditation team, Mr. Sego was a contracted Health Services Administrator with the Arizona Department of Corrections for eight years. During his time in Arizona, he was responsible for nine prison facilities, helping to ensure that approximately 30,000 residents were receiving medical, dental and mental health services.

Mr. Sego has been a CCHP since 2019 and credits his understanding and ability to support his health care teams and patients directly to his knowledge of NCCHC standards, which set the expectations of an enhanced level of health care.
