Ms. Elizabeth Laferriere is determined to unlock and champion a healthier system for children in the U.S. juvenile legal system. As team lead for innovation at the Health and Human Services Office of Population Affairs (OPA), she co-designs and executes OPA strategy to expand what's possible in promoting adolescent sexual and reproductive health. She has diverse experience in the field of health and children's advocacy, including legislative advocacy, policy implementation, political campaigns, and county government. Ms. Laferriere is currently pursuing her doctorate in health policy from George Washington University with research at the intersection of public health and juvenile justice. She received her MPP in international policy from Georgetown and her BA from Wellesley. She serves as a court appointed special advocate with the DC Bridges Juvenile Justice Program and is president of her Wellesley alumnae class.
