Description
In this Clinical Pearls session, the presenters will bring their correctional health care expertise and collaboration to this lively and engaging talk, using clinical cases to illustrate evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment strategies for common conditions seen during chronic care clinics, including cases with more complex presentations. Use of evidence-based community standards and their application in the correctional setting will be explored.

- Compare similarities and differences of hepatitis and liver dysfunction, including alcoholic liver disease, fatty liver disease, and cirrhosis
- Identify three nonopioid pain treatment strategies that are beneficial in the corrections setting
- Examine the multidisciplinary treatment strategies available for morbid obesity
