Ms. Megan Zacher is a public health advisor at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment in the Division of Pharmacologic Therapies. There she oversees the regulatory compliance of all the opioid treatment programs in the northeast region, Region 1, and the Bureau of Prisons, nationwide. Prior to joining the SAMHSA team two years ago, Ms. Zacher worked as a leader across the behavioral health continuum for 23 years. Her expertise in understanding human behavior enabled her to remediate and redesign programs on the foundation of patient centered and integrated care. A New York native, Ms. Zacher received her Bachelor of Social Welfare from Siena College and her Master of Social Welfare from the State University at Albany.
