Dr. Justin Berk is Associate Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics, and Epidemiology at Brown University and Director of the Center for Health and Justice Transformation. He previously served as Medical Director for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, overseeing statewide correctional health care services. Dr. Berk is an addiction medicine specialist whose research focuses on medications for opioid use disorder, hepatitis C treatment, and health outcomes for incarcerated populations. He has led multiple federally funded studies and authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications.
