Mr. Manny Mejias is an expert by experience when it comes to working with the criminal justice system involved and the formerly incarcerated populations. He served 20 years in prison for first degree murder beginning at the age of 15 and later created a cognitive behavioral reconstruction life skills course entitled “Freedom Management,” written for the system involved by the system involved. Mr. Mejias currently works as a Reentry Manager for the INVEST program with Pima County Behavioral Health and as a public speaker, informing others of the trauma experienced by all how touch the criminal justice system. Publications include the “Choices” and “Manny’s Story” videos.
