142 Connecting Nursing Theory to Practice

It is often said nurses are the backbone of correctional health care systems. Correctional nurses have an autonomous practice working at the top of their licenses. Autonomous practice inherently carries the responsibility of possessing an in-depth understanding of nursing practice standards, scope and standards of practice, nursing ethics, and integration of nursing theory and practice. This presentation will present core knowledge and concepts that attendees can immediately put into practice.
