Name
201 Correctional Officers' Health Beliefs and COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake
Description

People who work in law enforcement have lower COVID-19 vaccination rates than the general population. Using survey data from corrections officers in the northeastern U.S. (N=118), this research investigates the associations among an array of health beliefs. Responses were summarized and used to predict COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy, uptake, and other behavioral health outcomes using decision tree analysis. Results hold implications for ways to improve public health in carceral settings.
