Description

Minimizing liability in corrections requires attention to detail in both documentation and clinical practice. Review of 150+ legal cases has identified practical strategies that can help reduce liability regarding the care of incarcerated patients. Using case examples, attendees will learn how to better manage and document refusals, detoxification protocol findings, and ADA accommodations; and explore ways to strengthen documentation, clinical practice, and avoid common practitioner pitfalls.
