148 Improve Retention and Preparedness With a Nursing Preceptorship Program

This presentation reviews the process of building a nursing preceptorship program that blends virtual and live learning. The program is designed to dramatically improve work preparedness and retention among newly hired nursing staff by use of a highly qualified and prepared preceptor task force to enhance the learning process. The success of this program is measured on a 30-60-90 day evaluation plan as well as other periodic engagements.
