Alexandra Balaji PhD

Dr. Balaji has a PhD in Sociology from Indiana University. She came to CDC in 2005 as part of the Epidemic Intelligence Service. She is currently a lead for the Guidance and Data Quality Team in the HIV Surveillance Branch at CDC. As a part of her duties, she serves as the subject matter expert for correctional topics as they relate to HIV surveillance. In this capacity, she conducts analyses and serves on several workgroups and other projects related to correctional facilities and associated populations.
