Chief of Clinical Operations
Dr. Wu is a board-certified internal medicine physician with a focus on corrections, with nearly two decades of experience in academic and correctional healthcare systems. Dr. Wu is the Centurion Chief of Clinical Operations and leads the organization to provide quality care with an integrated health care model leveraging innovation and technology. He has led clinical care and operations for UCONN Health and Rutgers Health's correctional healthcare programs prior to Centurion and has also provided clinical care within the Washington State Department of Corrections. Dr. Wu is a past member of the NCCHC Board of Directors representing the American College of Physicians (ACP) and continues to actively serve as a physician surveyor on accreditation surveys at some of the nation's largest jail and prison systems. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the American College of Correctional Physicians (ACCP). In 2016, Dr. Wu became a Fellow of the ACCP due to his commitment to continuing education in the field of correctional medicine and establishing the second accredited Correctional Medicine Fellowship training program in the nation at UCONN School of Medicine and serving as its first Program Director. Currently, Dr. Wu has a faculty appointment in the Department of Internal Medicine at Nova Southeastern University Kiran C. Patel School of Osteopathic Medicine (KPCOM) and is actively involved in training the next generation of physician leaders in correctional health care.
