Karissa Page is the Justice-involved Pre-release Medicaid Enrollment Program Manager for the Louisiana Department of Health's Medicaid Program.  Karissa presently oversees Medicaid enrollment in 18 of Louisiana's prison facilities.  Through her program, over 17,000 incarcerated persons have applied for Medicaid since January 2017.  Karissa has worked on public health initiatives in corrections since 2012, and previously focused on HIV testing and linkage to care.  She holds a Master's of Public Health in maternal and child health from Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, and a bachelor's in biology and psychology from the University of Rochester.
