Dr. Rae Simpson is the Health Services Quality Director for the Washington State Department of Corrections. She is responsible for the implementation of the coordinated quality improvement program for eleven prisons across the state. Over her 30-year nursing career, she has held numerous leadership positions. Her expertise in quality improvement, behavioral health, and nursing leadership has provided her with the opportunity to travel around the country serving as a consultant for several organizations assisting them in achieving certification with accrediting bodies such as the Joint Commission. She has a MS in Nursing and a PhD in Leadership from St. Martin's University.
