Lieutenant Joseph May serves as a nurse officer in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps in the position of Wound Care Specialist and is currently detailed to his second institution within the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). Prior to commissioning in 2018, LT May worked for six years as an registered nurse (RN) in the BOP and for three years in as RN in an intensive care unit. Lt. May holds board certifications of Certified Wound Care Nurse, Certified Ostomy Care Nurse, Certified Foot Care Nurse, and is a CCHP-RN.
