Dr. Nicolas Badre is a psychiatrist with significant clinical, psychotherapeutic, and forensic experience. He has published over 60 articles and book chapters on academic as well as mainstream topics relevant to psychiatry including parts of columns for leading psychiatric publications. He has presented in over 100 lectures to a variety of institutions on topics including forensic psychiatry, psychotherapy, as well as conceptual issues in psychiatry. He taught forensic psychiatry courses at UC San Diego, and psychopharmacology courses at the University of San Diego. He mentors trainees on topics related to forensic psychiatry and psychotherapy. His expertise includes psychiatric disorder, psychiatric treatment, risk assessment, standard of care, correctional care, and psychiatric injury. He performs over 200 forensic evaluations per year and has participated in the evaluation of a wide range of cases including many complex litigations and high profile cases.
