Ms. Sonya Scott is a Recreation Specialist at Juvenile Temporary Detention Center and an Adjunct Professional Development Specialist with 12+ years of experience implementing numerous trainings and certifications to all levels of employees. The training includes instructor-lead and E-Learning, resulting in a 35,000 training hours a year for over 600+ staff, contractors, volunteers, and Interns. She has more than 20 years of experience in recreation from therapeutic parks and recreation to juvenile corrections. She has a Master of Science in Leisure Administration, Parks and Recreation from Aurora University, a Master's of Human Resource Management from Northcentral University, and Values-Centered Leadership certification from DePaul University.
