Pegi Goodrich was the first Quality Improvement Nurse for the Washington State Department of Corrections, bringing over 15 years of nursing experience to her role. She spent 8 years in direct patient care as a floor nurse before transitioning to healthcare quality, where she has worked for the past 7 years. Over the last 4 years, she has led the development of the Quality Improvement Nurse role within WA DOC and has been instrumental in redesigning and implementing the agency'ss Quality Reporting System. Work that won a 2024 Agency Award for Innovation.  Her work focuses on fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration in correctional healthcare. With a strong foundation in both clinical practice and quality systems, she is passionate about using data to drive change and improve patient outcomes in complex care environments.
